"ENERGY" IS THE FIRST PROJECT I CREATED AND DURING THE TIME I WAS FINDING MYSELF AS AN ARTIST. DURING THIS PROJECT I EXPERIMENTED WITH DIFFERENT SOUNDS AND GENRES. MY ULTIMATE GOAL FOR THIS PROJECT WAS TO CREATE SOMETHING THAT WAS UNIQUE AND SHINE A LIGHT UPON DIFFRENT ENERGIES AND MINDSETS WE EMBODY AS HUMANS THAT MAY AFFECT OUR MOOD AT TIMES. Welcome to the beginning of a legacy. The Book of Jacob: Chapter 1 – The Rise Up is more than just an album—it’s a testament to resilience, transformation, and the unstoppable journey of a king.
Born and raised on the east side of Indianapolis, I’ve faced trials that could have broken me. From being the black sheep of my own family to navigating the system since the age of 8, life tried to write my story for me. But this is my book, and I’m the author now. This project marks the first chapter of my rise—a sonic journey through pain, power, and purpose.
With raw storytelling, commanding lyricism, and a sound that blends the soul of R&B with the grit of hip-hop, The Rise Up is about overcoming, standing tall, and stepping into the greatness I was always meant for. This is for those who were doubted, overlooked, and counted out. This is for the underdogs turned kings.
